Shift from standard advice to personalized results
My Macronutrient Guide™ reads your DNA to show how your body handles protein, carbs, and fats, how strongly you crave them, and how your senses respond, then builds a calorie and macro target around you.
DNA-powered · Confidential · One blood draw covers all your guidesYour DNA shapes more than your metabolism
Two people can have identical metabolisms and still eat very differently, because eating is also shaped by cravings, comfort, and what your senses find appealing. All of it is influenced by your genes.
Three dimensions, not one
Most DNA nutrition looks only at metabolism. We score every macro across how your body handles it, how much you seek it out, and how much your senses resist it.
A macro calculator built on you
A daily calorie target and protein, carb, and fat split tuned to your DNA, goals, and activity, not a generic formula.
Clues, not destiny
Your guide tells you the genetic friction you are working against, so the work gets clearer and the wins are easier to hold onto.
Every macro, across three dimensions
Reviewed together, these three give a complete picture of your relationship with each macronutrient, and help explain patterns you may have noticed in yourself for years.
Systemic Compatibility™
How efficiently your body digests, metabolizes, and extracts nutrients from a food. Driven by enzyme activity, insulin response, and absorption genes.
Natural Inclination™
Your biological pull toward a food. Driven by brain reward pathways, dopamine response to taste, and hunger hormone sensitivity, not willpower.
Sensory Resistance™
Your biological push away from a food. Driven by texture or taste sensitivity, digestive comfort, and a weaker reward response to certain flavors, not being “picky.”
How it works
Three steps from your DNA to a macro plan you can actually use.
We read your DNA file
Your guide is built from an Illumina genotyping array covering 1.9M+ common genetic variants, focused on those studied in nutrition genomics.
We create proprietary polygenic risk scores
Each macro gets 0–100 scores across all three dimensions, built from our proprietary polygenic risk scores combining multiple well-studied variants.
You get a personalized guide
A macro calculator, a full scorecard, and food-first findings for every macronutrient, in plain language you can act on with your provider.
A personalized macro calculator
Your guide sets a daily calorie target and splits it into the three macronutrients, tuned to your DNA, goal, activity level, and body profile.
Protein
Building blocks to repair and maintain tissues for strength and overall health.
Carbohydrates
Your body’s preferred fuel: quick energy from simple carbs, sustained energy from complex.
Fat
Long-lasting energy, organ protection, cell structure, and vitamin absorption support.
The calculator factors in genes that influence how you handle food and appetite, including:
Meet your Genetic Friction Score™
Think of it less like a grade and more like a resistance meter. A low score means your genes work with you; a higher score means they create obstacles worth paying attention to.
Your genes are working with you here. Negligible genetic friction. Less effort needed to manage this area well.
About average. Your biology doesn’t give you a clear advantage or disadvantage. Standard guidance applies here.
Your genes create real impact here. Not a diagnosis. A signal that this area deserves more of your attention.
What’s inside your guide
A personalized guide covering six macronutrients across three dimensions, with your own calorie target and prioritized recommendations.
Built to be trustworthy
Our design choices are simple, transparent, and deliberately conservative, because that’s what makes the information worth trusting.
Polygenic scoring
Each score combines several well-studied variants rather than a single marker, so one quirky finding can’t move the needle. Single-gene predictions are rarely reliable on their own.
Evidence that clears three filters
Every finding must pass peer-reviewed research, a replicated effect, and clinically meaningful relevance to a macro’s Systemic Compatibility, Natural Inclination, or Sensory Resistance.
A note on ancestry
Most nutrition genomics research to date comes from European-ancestry cohorts. We continue to update findings as more diverse research emerges.
What it does not do
This is a nutrition guide, not a medical diagnostic. It doesn’t guide disease risk, drug metabolism, or rare-variant findings.
Frequently asked questions
What makes this different from other DNA diet tests?
Most nutrition genomics looks only at how well your body metabolizes a food. We score every macronutrient across three dimensions: Systemic Compatibility, Natural Inclination, and Sensory Resistance, so cravings and sensory tendencies are part of the picture, not just metabolism.
Does my DNA decide what I have to eat?
No. This guide tells you about your starting point, not necessarily where you are today. Your DNA isn’t your destiny. Knowing the genetic friction you’re working against simply makes the work clearer and the wins easier to hold onto.
How is the macro calculator personalized?
It sets a daily calorie target and a protein, carb, and fat split based on your goal, activity level, and body profile, adjusted by genes that influence how you handle food and appetite, such as APOE, TCF7L2, FTO, and MC4R.
Do I need a blood draw?
IG requires one blood draw that can be used for all of your guides. If you’ve already had your blood drawn, you’re all set. If not, you’ll need to order your DNA kit to produce this Guide. Your results are tied to a private, anonymous guide identifier (IGID) rather than your name.
Will my guide change over time?
Genetics is a fast-moving field. Your guide reflects the best available research at the time it’s created, and we use ongoing searches to flag meaningful new findings, so your information can stay current without you tracking the literature yourself.
Personalized to your DNA
The same guide gives two people different, DNA-specific guidance. Here is a look inside a real scored result.
