Why does my stomach react to foods that don't seem to bother most people?
The same meal lands differently on different stomachs. Here is how your DNA shapes your reaction to gluten, dairy, spice, FODMAPs, and stress, and what actually helps.
Start with the DNA you have
For a quick start to your answers, you can use DNA data you have already run elsewhere.
Choose your report
Pick the answer you want and check out. You pay for your report now.
Upload your DNA
Add the file you already have from another company. Upload within 3 days.
We confirm, then you pay
We check your file covers this report. If it does, we build it. If it cannot, we refund you in full, and our DNA test can.
We are able to use most formats. If you have a BAM or CRAM file, contact us at info@intrinsicgenomics.com. Not sure what you have? Upload it and we will do our best to figure it out and make it work for you.
If you need it, we will help you get your DNA file later in the process.
Our promise: we only build your report if your file covers enough of the markers to produce a meaningful answer. If it does not, we refund you in full, and our DNA test can.
One Table, Several Stories
Everyone at the table ate the same thing, and only you paid for it afterward. It is easy to treat that as one mystery, a generally sensitive stomach that needs to be managed around.
It is usually several different, mostly separate stories layered on top of each other. Whether milk sits fine often comes down to one enzyme. Reacting to gluten can trace to a specific inherited immune marker, or to a fermentable carbohydrate in wheat that has nothing to do with gluten itself. Onions, garlic, and beans ferment in everyone, what differs is how loudly your gut reacts. Spice runs on its own separate dial, and so does how directly stress reaches your stomach.
None of this is decided by genetics alone. Sleep, stress, gut bacteria, and what a food is paired with all matter too. Your genes tilt the odds on each of these separate stories, they do not decide the result.
A real answer, not raw data
Every finding is written as three plain parts: what your result is, why it matters, and what to try. No jargon, no allele soup, just your own why.
Built from many studies
No single trial answers this whole question. We assemble it from published, verifiable research, and match every finding to your own DNA.
Clues, not destiny
Your genes tilt the odds; your habits decide the result. The report shows the genetic friction you’re working against so the work gets clearer.
The same report, two very different people
Every page is written for a person, not a lab. Here are real pages, tied to a private, anonymous identifier rather than a name.
The same report, two very different starting points

What’s inside your report
A personalized, plain-language answer to one question that has nagged at you for years, built from your own DNA and organized so you can act on it.
Every finding, in three plain parts
No genetics degree required. Each result on every page follows the same simple shape, so you always know what it means and what to do.
Your results
What your own DNA says here, written plainly and compared to how a different result would play out.
Why it matters
How this piece feeds the bigger question you asked: Why does my stomach react to foods that don't seem to bother most people?
What to try
A concrete, realistic next step, small enough to actually keep, that may improve your success.
How it works
Three steps from your DNA to an answer you can actually use.
We read your DNA
From one blood draw, your DNA is genotyped across ~1.9M common variants, focused on those studied in metabolism and nutrition.
We build proprietary scores
A proprietary, multidimensional aggregation of many studies scores each area from your own genotypes, rather than one quirky marker.
You get a personalized report
A plain-language answer, organized so every finding tells you what it is, why it matters, and what to try next with your provider.
Frequently asked questions
What does this report actually tell me?
This report is personalized to your DNA, and answers the question just for you.
Does my DNA decide my weight?
No. Your genes tilt the odds; your habits, movement, and sleep decide the result. Knowing the genetic friction you’re working against simply makes the work clearer and the wins easier to hold onto.
Is this a diagnosis or medical advice?
No. This is a wellness report, not a medical diagnosis, and it has not been reviewed by the FDA. It’s written to bring to your own healthcare provider.
Do I need a blood draw?
We recommend our DNA test: one blood draw gives us the deepest read of your DNA without the much higher cost of running your whole genome, and one sample covers all of your Guides and Answer Reports. Already had your blood drawn with us? You’re all set. Have a DNA file from another service? Start getting your answers quicker. We run your external file through a rigorous 12 step analysis to determine what we can do for you. Within a day of your upload we will let you know which Guides and Answer Reports we can satisfactorily produce. If we cannot produce a report or guide we are satisfied with, we refund you in full. If neither, add the one-time DNA test in your cart, and we can keep moving. Your results are tied to a private, anonymous identifier (IGID) rather than your name.
How long until I get my report?
If you upload a DNA file you already have, we confirm within a day that it covers this report, and your report follows within a few days. If you use our DNA test instead, that is one blood draw and about 6 to 8 weeks, and the single draw powers every future report.
Will my report change over time?
Genetics is a fast-moving field. If a study is ever published that directly answers one of these questions, we assess it and incorporate the findings into a new version of the report, so your information can stay current without you tracking the literature.
One answer now, the complete picture when you're ready
This report answers one question from your DNA. When you want the whole system, the complete Guide reads every area together into one plan, built from the same DNA with no new sample.
Finally understand your own why
Turn your DNA into a plain-language answer to the question that has nagged at you for years, and a short list of what to try.
